I've worked out at many health clubs over the course of the past 30 years. Since being a member at Lifetime, I've visited about a dozen of their facilities. My normal gym is in Overland Park, KS. The weight lifting equipment in that facility is not maintained unless it is obviously broken. Even after pointing out to maintenance staff missing or non-functioning items on various machines, they remain in a state of disrepair for months on end.
Maybe when someone files a lawsuit after getting injured from equipment failure they'll get serious about equipment maintenance.
If Lifetime spent 1/4 as much on maintenence as they do on recruiting new members they would have happy and loyal customers.
